How do I set up filters for planners on a shared sheet?
Select the filters you want planners to see, then click Save config for all before sharing the sheet. Make sure the share has Data edit permission so planners can interact with filters.
Why do I see "Cannot edit rows while referenced"?
This means the sheet's row structure is controlled by another sheet (often a template). Make your changes in the source sheet that is doing the referencing instead.
Why can't I delete a sheet or row even though I'm a modeler?
Check that your user group has the correct feature permissions for deleting sheets. Some permissions need to be explicitly enabled even for modeler groups. If in doubt, contact your instance admin.
Why can't I edit a row or add a filter?
The row is likely locked. Unlock it first before making changes or adding filters.
Why do I see comments from other time periods or filters?
Comments are always visible regardless of your current filter or timeline selection. This is by design — all comments on a sheet are shown at all times so that no feedback is missed.
Dashboards
How do I export a dashboard for a presentation?
You can export any dashboard as an image. This is useful for pasting into PowerPoint, PDF, or email.
How do I hide the timeline on a dashboard?
Open the Dashboard options (three-dot menu) and uncheck Timeline. Then click Save config for all to apply it for everyone.
Can I bold only the column headers on a dashboard table?
No — formatting (bold, color, number format) applies to an entire row or column. You cannot style individual cells or headers independently.
Can I remove the vertical gridlines on a dashboard table?
Vertical lines between columns cannot be hidden. You can control horizontal spacing by adjusting the row gap — set it to 0 to remove horizontal lines.
Versions & Timeline
Can I rename versions for a specific user?
No — version names are shared across all users. As a workaround, you can add a description to the version in the Versions dimension table. The description appears alongside the name in sheets and timeline.
Why don't I see plan data on a dashboard tile?
Check the timeline at the bottom of the dashboard or inside the tile. Make sure the correct versions are enabled for the years you're viewing. If the tile uses its own timeline, click into the tile and verify the version selection there.
Import & Data Sync
Why did my import skip some cells?
By default, imports do not overwrite cells that already contain data. If you want the import to replace existing values, enable Overwrite cells in the import configuration before running.
Can I stop a running sync or import?
Yes — open the running app or job and use the Terminate option to stop it. You can also contact Farseer support if you need help.
Admin & Permissions
A user can't see their sheet — what's wrong?
Make sure the Sheets hierarchy is shared with the user or their group. Users need access to both the hierarchy and the individual sheet to see it in the sidebar.
