Input Setup

Learn how to manage years, versions, and key system actions such as on-demand calculations, data refresh, maintenance mode, and financial year settings within the Input Setup panel.

Overview

The Input Setup section allows admins to manage years, versions, and several important system-level actions. This area is part of the broader Farseer settings and helps ensure your model stays organized, accurate, and aligned with your financial structure.

Available Actions

Available Actions in the UI

  • On-Demand Calculation: Recalculates all variables marked as Calculate on demand.

  • Refresh Data: Reloads all data across your entire model.

  • Enable Maintenance Mode: Blocks access for all non-admin users until maintenance mode is disabled.

  • Set Financial Year Start: By clicking the settings cog next to the “Add year” buttons, you can define any month as the beginning of your financial year.

Managing Years and Versions

Admins can view, add, delete, and manage all existing versions and years within the Input Setup interface.

Use the + Add version button to create a new version.

You can add a new year in two ways:

  1. Before the earliest year in your model.

  2. After the latest year in your model.

Editing and Removing Years & Versions

  • Versions

    • Can be renamed.

    • Can be deleted.

    • Can be enabled or disabled using the toggle.

  • Years

    • Only the earliest and latest years can be deleted.

    • Any year can be enabled or disabled via the toggle.
